I enjoyed the movie. It has a different plot since the eternal theme of love, we cannot do away with. ( What's wrong with love stories anyway?). I thought Sohail and Arbaaz Khan were funny and did their roles well. Imraan Khaan is good too. But he does not look like Aamir. A college love story, the difference lies in the telling. Nazarudeen Shah, Genilea and all the other young stars are good and cute.
The music by Rahman is good. Music plays a large role in the commercial success of an Indian film. The movie is co - produced by Aamir Khan.

I found the movie to be an ok one.
Like you said, the difference did lie in the way the story was told by the friends otherwise it would have been like seeing "Niram" all over again. The concept is the same.
Music is just superb!!
Never saw Niram. But evryone's been saying the same thing that it is Niram rehashed!!!
I haven't seen this movie yet, but have heard a lot of positive reviews from all around..
