What Women Want

Starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt this is a light comedy. It's more comedy than romance I would say. After seeing some of the other movies of Mel, you would not expect to see him in such a light hearted role. But he easily plays the part with elan. I like Helen Hunt as well.

It's about a guy who one day starts to be able to hear what women think.

Perfect entertainer.

See My take on "The Tourist"

I wanted to try out something new in 2011. And so here is my review of The Tourist. You can see me here. Check it out and tell me what you think:)

The Tourist

A tame movie for Angeline and Depp. I am a die hard Depp fan, but I have to admit his character is weak in the movie. He played the role of Math teacher to a hilt. Maybe that's why.

Somebody feed Angie.

But I thought she looked nice with the red lipstick.

There's suspense and a chase which is usual for Jolie. But I liked the movie. I would say it's light and perfect for evening watching.

But those looking for hard- core action maybe a tad disappointed.

Movie Review: Inglorious Basterds

The DVD was with me. But i couldn't make up my mind whether to watch it. The cover looked interesting plus it had won an Oscar. I wasn't keen on watching a depressing thing as it was about the Nazi- Jew thing.. After all it was by Tarantino. But I was drawn to it & when I heard the music i could not resist watching the rest. The movie begins in a grim manner with a murder scene. In fact all the scenes have a liberal sprinkling of that whenever possible. Do you think Quentin was a vampire in his previous life or something?

I prepared myself for a dismal yet interesting story. But I was in for a surprise. The movie has a twist. The narration is different and the general feel is that of black humor. The Jews get back at the Nazis for a change. Brad Pit looks & feels different. But the movie belongs to Christopher Waltz, the main Nazi and Melanie Laurent a Jew. They are too good. Diana Kruger also makes an appearance. At the end of the movie I din feel all that bad. If you can take all the shooting with a pinch of salt, it's fine really....
